When will Agens Summer Lab take place?
The Agens Summer Lab will take place between 1 June and 30 August 2023. As for the exact period we are flexible and will want to find a period that works for you.
Who can apply?
We welcome applications from students that are studying UX, design, game development, software engineering, computer science or similar at a higher education institution. We also welcome students who are graduating this spring. Furthermore, if you are currently studying a different field but have skills in design or coding, you are welcome to apply as well.
Should I apply by myself or as a team?
You may apply individually or as a team, with one member being a developer and the other a designer.
What do I need to prepare before applying?
You ideally have a clear idea for an app, an open source project, a service, or a game, but you do not need to have a 100% finalised concept before applying. We are looking for passion and skill, and if you are selected, we will support you in developing the concept further.
Why are you doing this?
We want to get to know talented students who have a passion for building great products. We want Agens to be the best place to work for creative technologists. So our secret hope with Agens Summer Lab is that you as a student might consider Agens as a future place to work - or as a partner for your growing startup!
How do I apply?
Apply with a short video by 3 April 23:59 CET. Submit your application by sending us a short video (<3 min) where you introduce yourself, share what you’re studying, and describe the project you want to work on this summer. If applying as a team, please submit one application that includes both of you. If you are unable to submit a video or have an idea for an alternative form of media, feel free to send it our way. The language of the video can be in either English or Norwegian.
When can I expect an answer?
Please expect a response by 17 April. We will allocate time to review all applications and make a decision. Selected candidates will be contacted for an interview, preferably in-person in Oslo. Those who are not selected this year will be notified early in the process.
Who owns the rights to the project?
The team or individual behind the project or idea retain all rights to the project, and can decide on their own what they want to do with it after Agens Summer Lab.
